A little tropical forest connects the Castelo and the Casa. Wander through, find a chair or a spot to picnic, draw or read. Two dogs sometimes come to keep travellers company. There’s room for connections and just as much for time to yourself.

Dance to the rhythm
of a Brazilian night.
Brazilian music, karaoke, nights learning to dance funk, fire-breathing shows… By the fire, the marshmallows are on us. Every evening we head out together too: a different side of Rio, another story to share.
Cocktails, beers and soft drinks: we meet over whatever takes your fancy. The current programme is shared in the WhatsApp group open to all travellers.

A kitchen at the Castelo, a huge kitchen at the Casa. Fridges, labels for your name and storage for your groceries. The barbecue corner awaits big gatherings.
Work in paradise
A lovely free coworking space and Wi-Fi throughout the castle. A view of Christ the Redeemer. Then a chair, terrace or garden corner for your next break.
Relaxing together
At the Castelo, a large TV lounge with a sofa for up to fifteen people. At the Casa, another TV corner. A match, a film, or simply the pleasure of being together.
Travelling light
Hand-wash your clothes and dry them in the sun on the clotheslines. A service can also collect your clothes and bring them back washed and ironed: ask at reception.
The useful little things
Lockers, showers in the rooms and shared areas of the Castelo and the Casa. At reception: toothpaste, soap, snacks and drinks for little things forgotten and little things wanted.
The neighbourhood on your doorstep
Santa Teresa’s main street is about three minutes away on foot: artists’ shops, restaurants, pizzerias and little snack bars. The famous bondinho tram is about a five-minute walk. A large supermarket is around five minutes away by Uber.
