You don't have
to try too hard.
Just be yourself.
Your first hostel trip, or a passport full of stamps? You're in the right place. A hello over breakfast, an impromptu game, an evening at the bar: everyone finds their own rhythm.
And if today's plan is a hammock, a little sunshine and a book, we'll let you enjoy it.*
* The castle's little monkeys might stop by to say hello. Give them a warm welcome.
The best memories are shared.

A few little
questions.
Anything else on your mind?
Our team is on WhatsApp
I'm travelling solo. Will I fit in?
Absolutely. The shared spaces, pool and big tables make conversation come naturally. You can also pick up a book and enjoy a moment to yourself. You don't have to be the most outgoing person in the group to make unforgettable connections.
Castelo or Casa: what's the difference?
The Castelo is the historic building, with dorms and private rooms with shared bathrooms. The Casa extends the experience with dorms and private rooms with en-suite bathrooms. Check the building and bathroom type carefully when booking.
Is breakfast included?
Breakfast is available on site. Whether it's included depends on your booking: check the details of your selected rate or ask the team before confirming.
What if I visit during Carnival?
Experiencing Rio de Janeiro's Carnival at Castelo dos Tucanos is unforgettable. Special rates and conditions may apply during this period. Check your dates in the booking system or contact the team to plan your stay.
